Although Pink Floyd has never admitted to doing such a thing (except Roger, who stays quiet when asked), there are just a few points that should be examined. I guess you'll just have to come to your own conclusion. It's just the way it is with this band. But one thing this experiment does do is bring the theme of The Dark Side to life, whether it was intentional or not.

The whole movie is there, all 1 hr 41 minutes of it. For those who haven't seen this, I recommend doing so. It's highly entertaining, whether intentional or not. Beats, musical tension, and lyrics all seem to coincide with what is going on in the movie. And you don't have to be on drugs to see it.

About 70 percent is dark energy, and around 22 percent of the universe is made up of dark matter. Dark matter makes up a substantial part of the universe. Knowing what it is would answer a crucial question about the universe as a whole.

Apperantly the old movie link I posted has been torn down, likely due to copyright violations. I can't seem to find it anywhere else on the net. The link above leads to a webpage dedicated to the wiz/darkside phenomenon. And further delves into the theory that the whole albulm was dedicated to Judy Garland, who had died just a few years before the albulm was released.
