Actually, when people finally realize that most religions think this way in some form, they become atheists.

That is the source of these quotations. Not every Christian is a Fundamentalist Christian and believe these ridiculous things.

I know this is a dupe, but it was from long ago... and this is one of those few that needed to be re-posted, especially for newer members and those of us who need to point and laugh at people from time to time. Thank you. :)

I get tired of stupid generalizations like this that present a lopsided view and accomplish nothing. Proving that there are some people who don't understand theology doesn't make it go away, or make the Christian belief system any less credible. It just means there are some clueless Christians. It's just as wrong as if I were to quote the top 10 rap artists and infer that all black people must be illiterate.

How about we balance this out with Top 100 Best Quotes from stupid atheists? Or stupid muslims, humanists, democrats, republicans, vegetarians, or animal rights activists for that matter?

Or, barring that, you could actually bring something meaningful to the discussion.

This is the best thing I've seen today.

Of course it is a generalization.
Of course not all, or even a majority of Christians believe this way.

That is why it is funny.

If all Christians felt this way, it would be horrible and not amusing in the slightest.

People are not making fun of Christianity, they are making fun of a small group of Christians with outlandish beliefs.

The point is though, you won't find one, or at the very least, not as easily as you could find this one.

You would have to go to some fairly seedy sites to find such rhetoric; I don't really want to visit such a website on the network I'm currently using.

In the end, it doesn't really matter. Everything gets made fun of sooner or later. Nothing is sacred for very long.

Plus, 2manyusernames is right. I think the people who made those posts really don't much about what Christians actually believe.

There are idiots in ever group; this page is highlighting some out of the Christian group. There's no point in getting all worked up over it.

The problem with some of these people is they think that evolution hangs on Darwin's say-so. They believe that everything has to have a supreme authority, and they've assigned Darwin to be the supreme authority on evolution. I've never read any of Darwin's books, but I've read plenty of modern books on evolution which explain things that Darwin never even knew about.

Buy these people some DVD's of Penn and Teller: Bullsh*t! They need a wake up call.

And to think, these people are from the same gene pool as the rest of us, non-judgemental, open-minded, law-abiding citizens...
