Beach Closed After 2000 Tons of Wood Wash Up
Last week a freighter called Ice Prince sank, shedding 2000 tons of timber into the sea. Over the last couple of days it has been washing up.

I linked to this story in Topofall's post about shipwrecked goods but since then I've seen it and think it deserves it's own thread.

The beach where the wood has washed up is less than a mile from my house and I went down there to have a look. These pictures don't do it justice. The line of planks is about eight feet high and ten feet wide at it's base. It runs for at least two miles along the beach. It's quite a sight to see.
