 Human Genome Project Phase 2
Human Genome Project Phase 2
The original Human Genome Project mapped the DNA from one person and took 13 years to complete. Today the 1000 Genome Project was announced - a plan to map the differences between individual humans that will give an insight into the physiological differences between us, and genetic diseases too. It is expected to take 3 years. picked by Pocksucket 2 years ago

Quite fitting that you should post this as I have just finished reading "Next" by Michael Crichton.

In true Crichton psuedo-science style it poses a few interesting questions.

The bug would come from the original HGP as that was about what was the same between all humans. This is about what's different.

Unless your goal was to wipe out everyone with blue eyes. Then I'd have to doff my cap to you for the twisted pointlessness of your evil genius.
