I'm not usually a big fan of cracked.com, but I found that article to be funny and oh-so-true.

I could not agree more with every statement the author made.

Good find, jentman.

I remember reading this a little while ago while I was surfing Cracked late one night, read it again now. I must say, the most important one is the one that he saved for last. "You'll Never Harass the Other Side Out of Existence." It's a truth that so many are unwilling to accept. Too many people think that they can convince other people to believe what they believe. It's not possible, that's why they're "personal beliefs." Anyway, I could go on, but I'll just say thanks for sharing.

That was the best part of the entire article

I think the answer to the problem is pretty simple. I'm not an atheist but if they all just wore a button or t-shirt that said NO EVANGELIZING like a no soliciting sign, I think everyone could get along. Likewise if evangelicals wore a button that said IF YOU TALK TO ME THE CONVERSATION WILL INEVITABLY TURN TO MY FAITH IN GOD, this would keep both parties out of the pool at the same time. BTW eventhough I'm not an atheist I wouldn't mind having a NO EVANGELIZING shirt. This goes directly to the your not going to annoy the other side of exisitence rule.

I'm gonna go ahead and pat myself on the back for saying this millions of times before.

Perhaps not as well, or as humorously, but I'm going to give myself a good pat, nonetheless.

especially for this:
Remember, to a neuroscientist, free will is every bit as real as the Tooth Fairy.
Damn you, free will. Damn you.

Ahh, free will. Someone should start a free will thread.
