I agree. I try not to judge people at all and especially based on their beliefs, but WBC I don't believe is truly Christian. They're protesting at funerals, judging people, and condemning people to hell. None of that is a very Christian thing to do. Despite their religious beliefs, funerals should remain a time for grieving and remembering someone who has passed. If the "church" members want to believe that this actor is going to hell, fine. They don't need to smash it in the face of his family and friends.

I agree, in order to be a Christian you have to act Christian.
The problem is that they think that they are Christian and by doing this. And as ReBoot pointed out, God doesn't hate anyone, He hates the sins they commit. But you just can't get through to people like that. Am I the only one seeing the similarities to the Pharisees?

I did some research about a year and a half ago regarding legislation banning protests at funerals. From what I remember, they're pretty much all family. I remember for sure, though, that there are some members that are not part of the Phelps family.

The point I'm trying to make is that these guys are quoting the bible saying that god is wreaking vengeance for homosexuality by quoting passages from the bible.

More contemporary Christians would argue that they're full of hate, anger and s**t by quoting contradicting bible passages.

Other than illustrating that it's possible to have opposing views by focusing on different parts of the bible, there's no "ONE WAY" of getting the right message. Of course, everyone thinks their way is the right way and can back it up, but something's got to give.
