Its an interesting idea. I just know that I was disappointed with the last Pink Panther movie during which Peter Sellers died. That movie changed tone and totally sucked.

Depp is probably a good enough actor to pull it off, though it's still probably gonna just feel weird to watch it. Should be interesting how this plays out.
