The singer, son of Beatles legend John Lennon, has piled on the pounds in recent times, with his lavender-coloured jumper hugging just a little too snuggly around his rotund stomach.

Rotund? No, I wouldn't describe him as rotund. And really who cares? Why does the media delight in pointing out how unfit someone is? It's no wonder women and MEN alike are so self conscious about their bodies. If Sean Lennon is considered ROTUND then I am guessing there are many other people in the world who might be mistaken for farm animals.

Both are excellent points. My intention is not to poke fun at Sean, but to illustrate how trapped celebrities are in the image the public creates for them. Is it fair that he can't even nip out for a snack & a smoke without paparazzi flashbulbs lighting up - and recording - the scene? No. Is it his fault that he grew up and is not the reincarnation of John? No. Can he deal with these kinds of pressures without going mad? One can only hope...

If I were him I'd eat what eat what ever I darn well pleased too. Which I do any ways, and why I have about the same physique.

Stories like this are always problematic, IMHO. The same Daily Mail webpage featured a photo of Britney Spears looking beyond psychotic and i had to ask myself, do i really want to see this? No... and yes. Celebrities are entitled to their privacy and yet, they aren't... it's the price of being a celebrity. Would you want to be Sean or Britney? Think carefully before you answer...

The people over at the Daily Mail should feel lucky that no one cares enough to write an article about them when they let themselves go a little bit.

I was just looking for the byline to find the writer of the article. Not one to be found. We wouldn't want to look at their rotundness.
