Sex and Biking
Apparently biking can cause erectile dysfunction. This is bad, bad news. picked by mahler87 2 years ago

It would be bad news for all those millions of Dutchmen who cycle so much everywhere every day. I think the risk of slipping on the ice and hitting your head is greater than that of erectile dysfunction.

I believe it.

Nothing stranger than getting off a cycling machine at the gym and realizing your crotch fell asleep.

I seriously think they've made the seats even harder since I was a kid.

Serfas, a manufacturer of biking accessories, set out to design a seat that would shift the rider's weight off the perineum. The result, called "the Eliminator," has a long groove down its middle and is hollowed out in front. In April 1999, researchers tested the newly designed seat on 15 regular cyclists, most of whom pedaled between 150 and 300 miles weekly.

The results? Though 80% of those using a conventional seat suffered numbness, only 14% of those using the new seat did. Serfas now offers several seat models for street and mountain bikes.
Problem solved.

Riding my bicycle everyday, I've come to the conclusion that the pros far outweigh the supposed cons.

Bicycular motion is just plain cool.

I'm an avid cyclist of over 11yrs. I personally have never had any issues with erectile dysfunction, Hell according to my wife it's the opposite. I will however say that yes the seat you use plays a huge role in several factors of cycling from fatigue to longevity of distance. I could see how the wear of your perineum could cut off blood circulation to the lower section of your #@&^$.

Gee, where have you guys been? I have been reading about this for years now in cycling journals, not that it makes a hill of beans difference because I agree with Willster. My husband and I are avid cyclist and he never had a negative impact on saluting when I enter the room...

On the other hand, the same cycling journals will also tell you that the cycling population will enjoy 50% more sex than the non cycling population. And that is true...
