Baby Left to Die after 8 Days
Baby Left to Die after 8 Days
Parents strapped a Baby in a car seat for 8 days, ignoring it, depriving it of food and water, while they watched Tv and Played video games.

This may be a hard read for some. (Image unrelated) picked by Muppetmaker 8 months ago

It'd be understandable (but not forgivable) if both parents were drug addicts. I wouldn't be half surprised if World of Warcraft was involved in this someway.

This made more pissed off than I can describe.

What pisses me off even more is that these, and I hesitate to call them it, people, will now be fed, watered and cared for by the state.

I say starve the pair of them until they die the same painful, f**ked up death they inflicted on that helpless innocent!!

No doggylives, these two shouldn't get off that easy.

They need to live.

They need to survive and every day be reminded of what they did. They need to live with the knowledge of the pain they inflicted. And they need to live for a LONG time.

When they are on their deathbeds, give them respirators. If they have cancer, give them the best of care so that not ONE day of the rest of their natural (or extended) lives can be lived without knowing what a heinous act they committed.

Death is too good for them. That's the salvation of a hero, not these two.

the article wasn't clear on any sort of motives, but it gave the impression that the couple did what they did because they got BORED with the baby ... i can partially understand the stress of constantly changing diapers and dealing with crying for five months but good GOD! this is a helpless human being, not some god damn tomagotchi. if they seriously didn't want to keep after the baby anymore, they could have at least set it up for adoption. a small chance of a better life is still better than no chance.

The truth of the matter is nobody knows what went on in that house for that week. The idea that they played video games and watched TV paints a picture but there was no evidence in the article or in statements made that supports that they knew what was going on during that week.

True, tragluck. That 'father' looks rather.... out of it.

Would I be the one in jail if I removed the kid from their house and brought it to my own without their knowledge?

well, eventually .. from the tone of things, it may be several more days before the neighbors think to report the baby missing. i'd doubt the parents would ever notice by themselves.

She apparently told police the night before they were called to the house that she went in and checked on him but thought he was asleep, so she wedged a bottle next to him in the carseat so if he woke up he could eat. However, in the opening statement of the story, it states he died with his eyes open which really couldn't be mistaken for being asleep.

There is no way they didn't hear that baby cry. Babies let you know when they are hungry. And soiled. They ignored him. For EIGHT days! Even if they were wasted for that whole time, they still ignored him. Kind of hard to forget you gave birth to a child five months ago.

Well, I think these two should be sterilized, immediately after sentencing.

That's just in case they ever get out of jail, we don't want them reproducing again.

I can not believe what I have just read, I can't believe that it is possible to do that to a baby. The only thing that gives any hope, is knowing that one day they will stand before the creator of that little baby, only then will they pay for their actions. I say let them die the same way that poor baby did. And for those of you that say, why would God punish them for what they have done when he should've stopped it to begin with. Two words- FREE WILL. Ya it sucks, but in the end these people need to be held accountable for the horror they have caused, and people need to stop blaming God, not just for this, but for everything.
