That is hilarious.

My favorite is "standing still at concerts"

The problem is that most of the music that white people like isn’t really dance-friendly. More often the songs are about pain, or love, or breaking up with someone, or not being able to date someone, or death.

So when white people go to concerts at smaller venues, what to do they do? They stand still! This is an important part of white concert going as it enables you to focus on the music, and it will prevent drawing excess attention to you. Remember, at a concert everyone is watching you just waiting for you to try to start dancing. Then they will make fun of you.

That was one of my favorites :) I go to a lot of metal gigs and even there you get a lot of people at the back standing rooted to the spot while theres a huge mosh pit down the front.

In response to Gammerus' comment I just wanted to ask exactly what "double standard racism crap" you mean.

Please tell me you noticed the subtle racist comments thrown in every now and then...
I actually thought most of it was funny, but yea, I'm sick of the "double standard racism crap", too, Gammerus, we have that alot down here in the south.

It is just kinda annoying that is ok to laugh at white guys but not blacks..

kinda like the double standards when it comes to sex.

This is considered funny, but if you reverse the genders it becomes morally wrong.

Oh, I am so going to piss almost EVERYONE off right now, but here goes. You're right. I can be made fun of, because I'm a white male, but if I fire back, I am an insensitive, non-pc neanderthal...or worse.

I believe that while "insert todays approved politically correct term for minority group" are asking for equality, they shouldn't have their own beauty pageants, or college funds, or TV channels.

I believe that if homosexuals are going to be allowed to share health care and other benefits that go along with marriage via a "domestic partnership" , heterosexuals should be entitled to the same.

Equality means equality, NOT you do what you want and "I" do what you want. The above two examples amount to nothing more than a form of self segregation and reverse discrimination. The argument I frequently get is that we (the majority) won't allow them (the minority) access to OUR beauty pageant, college fund, marital system, etc. In that case, I say prosecute those among us who block the paths of others based on their skin color, sexual preference, etc. Such a law would also protect me from NOT being hired by an interior design firm because I WASN'T homosexual, thus creating EQUALITY.

For the record, my best friend is black. He HATES things that are strictly for black people, and he HATES quotas. He wants people to know that he got where he is on his own merit, not because they needed someone non-white in his position.

I can only comment from a personal perspective. My wife and I have a mixed-race daughter and I don't get hung up and over-sensative about funny jokes and comments that are meant in a light-hearted jokey manner as this article was obviously written.

I would on the other hand take offense at someone stereotyping and poking fun at my daughter based on her looks and I felt This post did just that, poking fun at people based on there appearance.

I think jokes and comments must be looked at on merit and by who and in what context the joke/comment was made in.

This article was clearly intended to be humorous and poking gentle fun at us white folk. This wouldn't have offended me if it was written about black folk in a similar good-natured "laugh with them, not at them" kind of way.

Personally I believe society in general sees poking fun at white people more acceptable because it generally doesn't have the undertones of hundreds of years of abusive, racist and nasty history that making fun of black people can sometimes carry.

What I feel is important to remember is that black people have had hundreds of years of been poked fun at caricatured by the media, see here so it's understandable that it is more of a sensative area.

I did not take the whole thing too seriously because I think the whole thing was written by a white person right?...so he was poking fun at himself…which is something we all do and is healthy etc. So then I don't understand what the big deal is. I am a mixed child (black and white) and I have learned that often it is necessary to laugh at oneself...and there is nothing wrong with that. When I first read it I thought maybe I would only like half of the things listed (hahaha)...I agree that reverse racism is wrong, but we can’t jump to the conclusion that reverse racism is always the case. Also, I don't think the pic of the wedding cake toppers would be any more or less offensive if it were black people. I think most people would still think that it is a funny wedding cake topper. We can make anything offensive if we try hard enough...really...most of the time people mean well.

I shared the post with some of my white friends and they laughed their asses off!

And that's why I make fun of everybody equally. If I think of something funny about someone or their ethnicity, I'm gonna say it. European, Asian, African; I don't care. Anyone who thinks that it's okay to make fun of whites but not blacks, or any other ethnicity for that matter, is a racist.

Racism is Racism is Racism is it not?

I actually meant to say exactly that in my above comment. It really gets on my nerves when people say "reverse racism". That's basically saying "whites started it".

come on...the reason you can make fun of white people and not other races is because we generally don't care!

we hardly ever take things like this personally and i could careless if someone was making fun of something white people do...odds are it is true and that is what makes it funny!

Except racism exists between black and Chinese, black and Asian and so on. You also find "racism" between black tribes in places such as Africa and Papua New Guinea , racism not based on skin color but on other factors.

Racism has existed and persisted since the dawn of the earth.

According to the Oxford English Dictionary, racism is a belief or ideology that all members of each race possess characteristics or abilities specific to that race, especially to distinguish it as being either superior or inferior to another race or races.

Racism is not something that whites "kinda did start" and to state that shows an ignorance of the subject.

No, I said I don't find it as offensive as racism, I still have a deep dislike of sexism. Even then, that topic was relating to gender based "sexist" jokes which I do not mind as much.

I think a comedian captured the sentament best when he said:

"Some white folks ask why it is ok for black guys to say n****r but it isn't ok for white guys to.
I think it is because we have a history of abusing the word."

I agree with the sentiments but I don't think the word n****r should be used by anyone what with the vile, vitriolic history behind the word.
