What Happens to Your Body after drinking a Can Of Soda
What Happens to Your Body after drinking a Can Of Soda
Fascinating, a complete break down from the first sip to after a few hours. The process your body takes to digest, and in turn what the side effects are, of Soda. picked by Muppetmaker 2 years ago

Think I saw this on Plime before, but don't quote me on it.

It's probably old enough anyway.

I am drinking my diet coke right now. Soon I will have to pee. And I am okay with that.

I don't drink soda. I do drink pink lemonade, lots of it. I wonder what it does to me.

I don't care if it's poison, it's delicious poison. AND I'D RATHER DIE WITH A SMILE ON MY FACE! :P

I rarely drink sugar pop, but I'm still a little skeptical about the tone of this article.

I don't doubt that the statements made are more or less truthful, I just wonder how much of the same would happen if you had a glass of grape juice and a cup of tea (the sugar and caffeine equivalent of Coke). Everything minus the bit about phosphoric acid I assume. Obviously you get way more vitamins, but all the same "scary" stuff is going to happen.

Same thing. What this article fails to mention is that this is what happens to you with ANYTHING you eat or drink that contains sugar. They're basically just describing the bodies reaction to food in alarmist tones.

Not that coke is good for you - it isn't - but misleading people about why isn't the way.

Also, I swear to god this is a dupe, but I can't find it.

They're using Wikipedia as a source for scientific information in another article. Oh, AND they sell health supplements that will cure what ails you.

Too biased for me to believe. No soda, isn't good for you (and most studies show that diet sodas contribute to weight gain similar to regular sodas--fake sugars may not have calories, but your body reacts to the as though they do), but if you take the melodramatic angle, there isn't much that IS 100% good for you.

even if it is extremely biased and badly sourced, i don't think anyone needs to have a rocket scientist listing out all the reasons why soda is bad for you. the sugar content alone is enough to screw you up for a few hours. i have a few friends who are dying to lose weight. despite improving their eating habits, and diet, they are still drinking 4 liters of pepsi a day (family of four). it's the sugar, man. the sugar. there's absolutely no need to consume that much sugar in one day. can you imagine popping 12 sugar cubes in lieu of drinking a can of coke? that is essentially what you are doing, and you do not need an expert telling you that is bad.

p.s. i <3 coke zero.
