Salvia is not something to be trifled with. You NEED to have someone else along with you to make sure you dont do something stupid.

I smoked the 15x extract I bought from a smoke shop on Haight street last year. Took it home and took a bong bowl to my face sitting in the middle of the floor in my living room.

As I blew it out, I handed the bong to my friend and all of a sudden, my sense of gravity and balance went haywire. Like within .05 of a second. My head just leaned over like it was made of steel and the floor was a magnet. I had both arms on the ground trying to keep my head up but it was impossible. It felt like God was using both hands trying to smash me into the carpet. My face went white as a ghost and I broke out in complete body sweat and my arms were shaking from trying to hold myself upright. As soon as my face hit the floor, I couldnt see anything but really REALLY intense fractals.

My friend Mitch asked me, "Whats the matter? Did you get a case of the forgetsies?" I couldnt answer him. I seriously had gravitated 3.5 lightyears above the earth and was in space. (no s**t) There was a HUGE parade of what looked like Mayor McCheese guys marching in front of me. Behind me, there was something else, not sure what, but they were playing these bells completely out of time and rhythm.

That is when the the fabric universe and my reality started to disintegrate. I have no idea what my body was doing, but in my mind, I was holding together the universe with every ounce of strength I had. It was horrifying. The cheeseburger guys were smiling and dancing, and the bells went on ringing, and all I could smell was this f**ked up ass inscence smell, and I was desperately clinging to the fabric of space and time.
What was really happening was my friend had gotten me a pillow and a blanket and covered me up so I would calm down. He said I was clutching the pillow like my life depended on it. He was trying to talk me down but I couldnt hear him or understand him.

Eventually, it started fading out, and I could hear him calling people asking them how long salvia lasts. hahaha

He came over and lit a cigarette and was looking at me, when the fractals started fading, and I could see his big ass grin smiling at me. EXACTLY like the cheshire cat, his smile was there and then the rest of his face showed up and he just said, "You scared the ever living f**k out of me right there."

I didnt feel like myself for a few days after that. The funny part was, it probably would have been better, but as soon as I blew out the smoke, I had completely forgotten that I had smoked salvia. I thought that God had just decided to smite me with insanity after all of these years or blasphemy. Thats what scared me the most about it. The forgetsies.

it makes better sense that salvia would be criminalized, as it's a very hallucinogenic herb ... but marijuanna just makes you stupid, like alcohol makes you stupid; i don't get that. alcohol is legal, but too much of it will kill you. there's never been an overdose of marijuanna, but that's legal. tobacco products can easily kill you over time, and that's legal ......

I agree. I was with a few friends who tried it. The second time, one of them actually wrote himself a note telling (himself) what would be happening and what he should do...as he wouldn't remember (who, where, how, what) after smoking. He said it was very helpful.

I was relieved it only lasted 45 minutes! ...trying to convince someone who thinks they are an ice cream sandwich, that they are NOT melting through the cracks in the bench... was not how I expected to spend my Saturday night!

I haven't tried 15x, but I've done 10x. I got a pretty intense experience still. If I were to describe it briefly, I would say it felt like my dream mind had jumped over to my waking life. Definitely not something I'd do often.

I had been half considering thinking about trying just to see what all the hoo-hah is. I do not do any form of illegals at all, nor do I smoke.

Now there is no way I would try anything more than say 1x (if that exists) and only a teeny bit at that I guess. Thanks for the honest input.

When I tried saliva my vision split into three distinct, horizontal regions. Imagine having the spins when you are drunk, but the top of your vision is moving left, the middle is moving right, and the bottom is also moving left. All I could manage to do was giggle and tell my friends that 'life is very horizontal'.

Just like any other mind altering substance, you have to be in the right frame of mind, open to the experience, and be around people you trust ... you should be fine. Yeah you're hallucinating, but your mind is still functional (maybe more so ...) relax, enjoy, no need to be an asshat and jump around like an idiot.

I've been tempted for the longest time. Unfortunately, around here it's almost as expensive as pot. I'm told I can get it cheap in another town, but that town is far enough away that the gas money would almost equal the expensive local stuff.

Maybe that's a good thing, but I still want to try it. I may go to "the big city" soon and will be able to find it more reasonably priced there.

Yeah you definetaly need to be careful when you first try it. I had the honor of having an a*****e friend sit me down with 80x, I was also drunk for the first time in my life... Oh boy was that horrible!!! He just kept telling me it was legal and its not that bad! I took three deep hits, handed him the vaporizer (the vaporizer is a bit more intense than a bong) breathed out, and completely forgot I was a living creature! My friend said I just fell over and drooled for about 15 minutes. Then all hell broke loose; as you have read in other comments it does indeed feel like you have entered an unknown universe and it is trying to crush you. Colour, sounds, and light swirl around like you just jumped into a musical bucket of galactic paint! Your presence feels like an almighty force is putting its hands on your face and pushing with all its strength... It feels like it last forever, but all this happens within 20 minutes.

I personaly think salivia should stay legal, but you should be smart about it, try it in a nice natural location, have soothing music playing and have the lights dimmed, it can be a good experience in the right conditions.

i am an advocate of salvia, i have done it numerous times for spiritual purposes and it has always been a pleasant trip, save for the first time. with anything you try the first time's always the worst but after that you know what to expect and what mindframe to put yourself in. even if they try to make it illegal people will still do it, it hasn't stopped people before.

Reading these comments has made me think that most religions must have been thought up while smoking this stuff. I don't mean that in an inflammatory or derogatory way. It just seems pretty plausible.

Seems to me that salvia really is a hazzard.
If a drug affects you THAT much, and in such an intens way, I would say it borders on the harddrug side of things.

Althought this is probably true, alcohol is WAY better distributed and easy to get. I bet that this drug used on mass would essentially shut a country down. No, I don't believe that this is a safe drug and should be avoided.

As for people saying that it should be remained legal, and it you should use it safely, may I not that 90% of humans tend to not listen to such warnings.
