 Generics: Just as good?
Generics: Just as good?
Cheaper, yes. But although the generic version of a drug is supposed to be the same as the brand, that's not always the case. Kind of scary. picked by hypnotode 2 years ago

what utter bulls**t. 99% of generics are so close to the name brand as to be chemically indistinguishable.

Sure, some would rather you didn't believe so. Some would rather you paid 3,4,5 times or more for the fancy label.

It is true on over-the-counter drugs and it is true with Rx drugs as well.

I'm a pharmacy tech. 99% of the time, a generic drug is just as good as its brand. There are some considerations with levothyroxine and digoxin; patients may respond differently with these generics. No need to worry unless you have a thyroid or heart condition. And doctors who prescribe these would be able to judge which is best.
