Hmm, this page doesn't mention how after zombie Jeebus rises, he comes to look for brains. Smart people, or "eggheads", would make faces on eggs and lay them about for zombie Jeebus to find. (They taste of chicken!) Being undead, Jeebus would be appeased by these offerings, and would not try to eat real human brains for this year.

Nowadays we celebrate by sharing and eating chocolate 'brains', brain-shaped jelly 'beings' as well as the colorful "eggheads".
