I inteded to make a funny comment when I first started to read the story, but after doing so, I was so moved that I can't. This man has literally been given a new life. I can only imagine his elation at finally, after many years, feeling like a normal human being again. Kudos all around. Awesome story.

I was not aware of that but this similar Telegraph Article includes more photos and details. I'm inclined to believe the story itself is legitimate.

I started wondering about that aspect of the site's integrity when words started showing up in CAPS for EMPHASIS.

Story might be true, and if it is, good for him, and more good to him.

A big BOO to NewsOfTheWorld, though, for sensationalist and unnecessary use of UPPER CASE for emphasis. That's just stupid:

He spent 24 YEARS horrifically disfigured
And it took 16 DRAMATIC HOURS
he could DIE because he needed the world's first FULL face transplant.
His old friend Prof Lanteiri picked up his scalpel and looked at the face which over the years had undergone THIRTY ops to remove tumours
Damn. That's not reporting, that's screaming the important words, in text, because your audience is obviously too stupid to understand what's important.

Lay off, already.

Yeah, not too fond of that reporting style, but.. Daaayam! Even if it came out half as good as it did, it'd still be a miracle.
