6 Year old disciplined by school for sexual harassment
6 Year old disciplined by school for sexual harassment
The teacher was a "hottie"* apparently. There were some other things said as well...

*Note: theme pic is NOT of the hottie (oops...teacher) in question. picked by moe 2 years ago

wasn't there a similar situation like this, but the kid was placed on the sexual offender list? something about he stole a peck on the cheek from a girl or something.

the kid needs a lesson in manners, not all of this hullabaloo.

I like that the father is a pastor of the "home church" he started. That obviously makes his boy the "son of a preacher man". Sing it, Dusty!

A 6-year-old! He shouldn't be saying these things! Likely there's something fishy going on. If this kid is showing an interest in sex at that age, he's possibly being abused.

I think you (and the school system) are jumping to conclusions here.

The article states that he said the teacher is "a hottie", my daughter (4 years old) says this from time to time because she has an older sister (13 years old) who uses this sort of language.

The child in this article also asked if "teachers sleep together", I do not believe the child was implying anything sexual in that statement. When I was a kid, I assumed all the teachers lived at the school... Wouldn't much of a stretch to assume that they slept "together" like we did at nap time.

This article also mentions that he said another kid "likes to look at teachers butt". Who doesn't think butts are funny at that age? Hell, I still think butts are funny.

Far too big a deal is being made over something so minor as this. And the parents are right, the teacher(s) or principal should have called them at home and asked that they talk to their child. This kid is too young for them to make it out as "sexual harassment".

I agree. But the kid is being exposed to this stuff somewhere. If he is acting promiscuous, then the child may have been abused. But it doesn't say that. I guess it all depends on his demeanor while saying these things.

I don't think he should be disciplined.

I think the teachers can tell the difference between childlike innocence and sexually laced comments.

I like how father says he didn't make a big deal about the collage with the nude pic (seriously? the teacher brought Playboy for the kindergarden kids?...or more like Cosmo), yet he felt the need to take it to the principal. Well, that's all the teacher did.

He's lucky the teacher isn't having social services come to his house and crawl through his s**t.

I do, at least to some extent.

Bad manners is bad manners. I don't like the idea of a little boy assuming it's okay to say things like 'you're a hottie' to girls. That's one attitude that'll just worsen as he gets older.

Oh, I meant he shouldn't be disciplined for sexual harassment. It's definitely bad manners. I don't know why the teacher didn't deal with it in the classroom (and call the parents when behavior persisted) instead of referring the kid. Teachers love to refer kids instead of dealing with them on their own.

Lucky? The kid just repeated common phrases any child might pick up from the Disney channel.

I agree, politeness and the appropriateness of comments are important and need to be reinforced at a young age.

That said, and with all respect, your avatars indicate you are a hottie.
