Recently this immigration test was updated to include a more diverse group of contributors to American history and more recent historical events such as 9/11. Take the test and see if you have the civic knowledge to be a naturalized United States citizen.

the question is whether you can pass some random test -this one, 7th grade math, or whatever - right now, but could you pass it after studying for it.

So it really has no bearing whatsoever if you can pass this or not. The implication is that if a citizen can't pass it maybe it is too difficult to ask someone wanting to move here to pass it. That is a illogical statement that doesn't hold water.

I did not see that perceived implication. The fact the my high school nieces and nephews did really poorly is a reflection on how little fundamental knowledge of our constitution and history is being absorbed by our youth in school.
