Every climatic change that ever occured? Not by a long shot. I know that is a quote from the article.

That is an incredibly bad misstatement. 8 million years would still be a figure off my a magnitude.

The Earth is about 4 1/2 Billion years. Life maybe around 3 1/2 probably more old.

8000 years is but a moment, a fleeting barely measurable fraction of an instant compared to "ever"

Earth's climate has been changing since Earth formed, about 4.5Ga ago.

8000 year old trees? They record a mere blip compared to every single climate change.

It's good to have a detailed record of climate changes over the last 8000 years for this part of the world, though.

Well, it's obvious that in the garden of eden the cycles of the year didn't happen quite like they do today, which accounts for the first thousand years *LOOKING* like three thousand.

If you then use *SIMPLE MATH* what just *LOOKS* like Three thousand years but is actually *ONE* thousand years, plus Five thousand (remaining normal years) = SIX THOUSAND!

Oh, it's simple! The tree was dated using radiocarbon, and everyone knows that carbon-dating isn't reliable at all.
