I think getting innocent people out of prison is a good thing... but why only focus on the death row folks? People in jail for life sentences don't deserve to be released?

I can understand putting more focus on the death row guys... but if you're gonna try to help the innocent people, help ALL the innocent people.

in many states a life sentence doesn't really mean 'life'. in some places life is about 20 years or so and then they can be paroled.
people on death row have a clock over their heads so it's a little more urgent to make sure they're not innocent before they get executed.

If memory serves me correctly, a large percentage of these exonerations have been in Texas.
