I make my daughter's diapers.

Not sure I'm ready for "mama cloth" but I'm all for the cloth diaper scene! Fun, cute and cheap!

Oh HELL no. Even the one on the right with the smallest weave pattern looks REALLY rough-textured. My whole lower half just clenched up thinking about it.

Honestly, as soon as I read the headline I knew that it was Suebe. How do you find this stuff?

Me too. I didn't even click the article, but rather went straight to the comments page to say exactly that.

I don't even own a calendar anymore. If I need to know the exact date, I just look up how many days have passed since Suebe's last menstruation post.

A cloth pad I can understand. In my "male" opinion, it would really be no different than using a cloth diaper on a baby. I mean, if the absorbency is sufficient, what's the difference? Ladies, if I'm wrong here, feel free to let me know.

Another point, and I am NOT trying to be disgusting, is that blood isn't all that hard to get out of clothing. I've had a tougher time with grass stains than blood historically.

The knitted tampon is a different story. I can empathize with Rowan's comment on the texture. I don't even like to use crocheted blankets because they are scratchy. Than, and I can't believe that these can perform as well as modern-day disposables.

Isn't wool a really bad idea?

Loose fibres and stuff.

TSS.

Not that much fun from what I hear.

What do you have against knitting and crocheting?
