Family, 911, Documents Paint Picture of Horse Rider's Death
In the 911 call, Mark Newby calmly told dispatch that his wife was bucked off her horse and was lying at the bottom of a canyon. For family and friends of Sue Newby, the story of an accident never added up. picked by muppet 2 months ago

Strange story, and I wonder if they could ever prove his involvement (if there was any)

The most peculiar part of this article however, is the first line...quote:
BOISE - NewsChannel 7 obtained a copy of the 911 call Mark Newby made to police after his wife was pushed down a cliff.
"after his wife was pushed down a cliff"???
-he says she was bucked off her horse
-others think HE pushed her
so where did that line come from?
sh*tty journalist...

I agree. The media should remain as impartial as possible and only report the facts of the story, not an assumption. Unless they prove that this lady was pushed it is still a mystery.

The media is supposed to be impartial. I read the article, and I didn't catch that! But it is there. It's putting an influence there. The article is focussed on her sister so that may be where the "pushed" off remark comes from. Just the same. a journalist should know better and be more careful with words.

it's funny, i didn't even realize that the news story was so biased until you guys pointed it out. watching the actual news cast, there isn't any question about whether or not he did it. they are reporting him as guilty, case closed, and that is pretty much how i took it to be. i think i'll email the station about it because it is a little concerning.

what's even MORE interesting is this:

the title of the video off the news site is, "UNCUT: News conference on husband who killed wife."

but the video itself consists of the sherriff giving all the details about the case in an objective manner. he does not say outright that newby is guilty, and says that they are still investigating all the facts. he still says, "fell off the cliff," and not, "pushed off the cliff."

... and another on the same site.

where he "calls 911 after wife's murder". If she actually was bucked off of a horse accidentally are they going to arrest the horse for murder? This is a very unbiased news station. I wonder if the people watching it know that.
