Well, at least I won't completely digest all the bad stuff in that donut...

More and more strange things are happening. I wonder why...

I went to college with a guy who had only one kidney. His twin had two and on one of the kidneys was a benign growth that was a nonworking third kidney. This reminds me of the Stephen King book the Dark Half about a writer who had absorbed his "evil twin" in the womb and when he started writing under a pen name, brought this twin to life. Stephen King is a genius and a little crazy.

I think bad things like this have always happened but in the past the news were not that easily spread and even further in the past they didn't have the science to identify such things. However there has always been some level of awareness regarding such abnormalities, how else would you explain the creatures in the ferry tales: the one legged half-man riding the one legged half rabbit (I don't know if you have this story in your folklore but we have it, creepy I know but there must have been something true out-there.)

My younger sister had an 'undeveloped' twin removed from her when she was about 14. She had a lot of abdominal pain and when they operated they found hair, teeth and other undeveloped body parts. It was bizarre that the hair and teeth developed.

When I saw the headline, I was secretly hoping that some deranged nine-year-old girl just recently ate her healthy nine-year-old twin. Is that bad?

nope, just funny that this is what popped in your head!

You know, for something so rare I hear about this happening strangely often. That's modern media for you.

I had the same thing happen to me. Only I had it removed when I was 6 years old. Its not super uncommon. For me its a little depressing knowing I had a Twin, but never had the chance to meet them.

I always find these kinds of things both fascinating, and rather disturbing. And with a little mix of sad in there.
