By "never part," they did not mean only their hearts or spirits. They meant their bodies as well. And they gave themselves a range of about 15 feet.

I just read a story yesterday about a couple that hasn't bathed in 15 years.
This seems crazier. Or at least it would drive me crazy!

In the first year that Lark and I are were together, I don't think there was ever 15 feet separating us. Unless it was forced upon us by him going on a 2 to 3 month patrol to Alaska or Mexico. Now it's more like 16 feet. Heh. I am so accustomed to my own lifestyle, that I simply couldn't imagine this one. Not even in the temporary sense of camping.
