McCain Backer Hagee Said Hitler Was Fulfilling God's Will
McCain Backer Hagee Said Hitler Was Fulfilling God's Will
There's a long and disgusting history of people blaming the Jews for their own persecution. The latest to do so is one of John McCain's key backers—Pastor John Hagee. picked by TraumaMamma 8 months ago

When exactly did candidates' pastors enter into the political arena? Just because a pastor is an idiot, it doesn't mean all the memebers of their congregation are also idiots. (and I'm saying this as an atheist)

So you are saying to just blow off the comments because people can listen to it and not be affected? The whole thing is disgusting. I would walk out and never go back.

If the messages the candidates were listening to were nothing more than love, fellowship and worship, no one would care.

When you are electing a person to run our country, well, do you want someone who listens and believes that blather to work in the best interest of the USA? I don't!

Well, I suppose that is what I'm saying, although not my original intention.

You wouldn't believe the vomit I was fed in church as a child and I rose above it and still became and loving, altruistic, understanding person. And I still love and respect people who do believe in "blather," such as my old fashioned grandparents. I can love them and 100% disagree with them. And I am an adult who can listen to b*llsh*t and let it roll of my back.

I am saying that too much focus is on these things. And I don't think McCain has ever said that he "believes that blather," although I don't know if he does or doesn't.

I think attention should be paid to the fact that he is a McCain backer. McCain sought his endorsement for the fundie vote, but McCain is not a member of his congregation.

There seems to be an attempt to connect the two in a manner that really isn't there.

*He also just cut him loose* (Hagee, that is..)

McCain has also rejected the endorsement of Hagee.

But he took his money and his endorsement and therein lies the problem.

Ha ha, he had a problem long before that. The problem is, he knows nothing about anything.

Hagee has said and believes a lot of stuff I don't agree with but I doubt that what he meant was that Hitler was doing something good, only that God can use evil people for his own purposes, usual to make an example of them.Just like he did with Pharaoh in Egypt God raised him up so that his evil could become seen and historically noted and he was destroyed to bring shame upon their actions the same can be said of both Pharaoh or Hitler. I don't know if thats what Hagee was talking about but it could make sense in that context.

Those preachers say the darndest things. I've rarely been to any kind of church where the preacher, pastor, rabbi, whathave you was not making some kind of wacky remark. 90 percent of the stuff is positive, but every now and then, they just go off. If people would be honest, they'd just admit that.

It's politics. Dirty money is nothing new (for any candidate).
