Oh dear...

I think her statement proves she realizes her chances are extremely slim by now; that's not hanging on to false hopes, that's just being realistic (in a crude and unthoughtful way)

Maybe she's directing this to those dissafected Americans who cling to their guns and bibles...

I'm no Obama fan but no matter how you look at it, that was a very irresponsible thing to say given the "historic" significance of this race.

I haven't been able to put my finger on it until just that moment. I watched the interview before I saw all of the commotion on it.

I was listening thinking 'okay, I'm with you, good point... this is historical. definitely.'
*needle off the record* WHAT?? that was so unnecessary! and pretty callouse.

If she HAD to make reference-why not frame it in a different way?

Now I know why HC scares me. She has man grapes the size of basketballs. ...and she seems a little "BSC" depending on the day. bad combo.

Two things to note. This is not the first time she has said this. And, her so-called apology was directed at the wrong people. No one I know took this as a slight to the Kennedy legacy, but more to Obama himself. No matter who you support, this was pretty bad.

According to some of the other blogs I've seen since this happened, some people are suggesting that not only will this end her chances for the Presidency in '08... but will probably stop them before they start if she runs in 2012!

Some even suggest that any chance she had at running for anything else in the future might now also be over!

She may have really shot herself in the foot this time.
