and of course they get crapped on and complaints because of this.

This attempt to paint Wal*Mart as evil is ridiculous. They offer great prices. Yes, they put so-called "mom-and-pop" stores out of businesses but that has been happening for generations. There really isn't any more or at least not to the degree there used to be corner fruit stands, small-family farmers, etc.

This is a good thing. Okay they don't pay their cashiers $100,000 a year. So what? Neither do their competition, nor thousands of other businesses. They do pay quite well compared to others. Maybe it won't support a family of 4, but no one says it is supposed to. It is a great 2nd job, or for someone starting out, or for another income to add to the household.
