I've only ever played golf once, and I wasn't hooked (or any good) but from my limited knowledge of these things, once you'd used it wouldn't it affect the weight and heft of the thing?

I'm not sure it's an actual, working club. I think it's more something that you can use that can blend in with the clubs you already have with you. If that makes any sense.
