Muslims may not have to undergo sniffer dog checks in UK
Muslims may not have to undergo sniffer dog checks in UK
Muslim passengers may not be touched by sniffer dogs of the British Transport Police after complaints that the practice is against Islam. According to the religion, dogs are deemed to be spiritually “unclean”. picked by davethefish 1 year ago

If they succeed, I won't permit any security checks on myself ever again...it's against my religion.

and then Britain is shocked when a terrorist slips in a bomb or poison, because he had the "skip being scanned for terrorism" card.

In one trial, certain Muslim women said the use of a body scanner was also unacceptable because it amounted to being forced to strip.
so ... women of all other faiths have no problem with body scanning, only muslim women do? or certain muslim women, whatever.

Sorry, people, you have to obey the laws of the country you are in just like any other. Just like others have to obey the laws of the country they are in.

Police say that Muslims (or anyone else for that matter) will not be granted special treatment just because of religious beliefs.

Yeh, bloody foreigners eh?! Go back home. o_0

When you say "their" rights and rules it sounds very much like you're lumping every Muslim in together. Plus when you say "stay home" what do you mean? There are a lot of American, English Muslims.

When you say "OUR" rules, I assumed you were American, you're English then?

It just goes to show that now matter how much the non-muslim world tries to accommodate muslims, some cleric somewhere is going to find something to get bent out of shape over.

Eventually THEY have to meet the rest of the 21st Century half way.

Errrr, right. You think a discussion and answering someone's questions is "getting into it"? Way to hold a grown-up conversation.

The comment you first made was short and not really that intelligently put unlike 2many's comment previous to yours, so no, I don't really know what you're talking about.

And so you feel the need to insult me? This is grown-up? And the stupid act isn't cute.

You are a bully Doggylives, most everywhere you go you put down people - or make sexual or gay references.
I'm done with it.

(Oh, by the way, that "err right" you always use. It makes you sound stupid, not condescending like I'm sure you mean it too.)

I'm sorry Davethefish for highjacking your thread. I won't be posting in it any further.

There's no need to make an issue out of her statement.

"Their" refers to foreigners who don't feel they need to adhere to the laws of the countries they visit.

"Our" refers to civilized people in the native countries.

By "Stay home" she is referring to people who could have just not left the house instead of getting up in arms about having to follow other peoples rules.

Hope that helps clear things up for you.

Feel free to contact me with any other basic interpretations of the English language that you may need.

and there's no need to be a sarcastic a*****e.

I thought you were above that, meh.

I'm pretty sure that by "stay home" she meant home as in the Muslims in question's country of origin not their literal house.

"Our" refers to civilized people in the native countries.
Exactly what I thought she meant and it's a pretty asinine sentiment, like Muslims aren't "civilized" but "we" are?

In the case of this article, "stay home" was directed towards Muslims who are trying to travel by air but want to be above the laws that every other citizen is required to adhere to.

And I'm actually shocked that anyone thinks I am above being a sarcastic a*****e. In fact, if we did a poll in which people were asked to summarize donteatpoop in 2 words; I am certain that most would select both "sarcastic" and "a*****e".

Exactly what I thought she meant and it's a pretty asinine sentiment, like Muslims aren't "civilized" but "we" are?
The term "civilized" does not exclude Muslims, however the term "uncivilized" does include some Muslims. Civilized people adhere to the law unless these laws are unreasonable. The term civilized does not refer to any specific race or religion.

No chapters here, just sentences. I think you're reading too deeply into things and looking for deeper meanings in statements where there are none.

True, I take it back. I know you're not above it and you're not that often sarcastic, you're normally just an a*****e.

Seriously, if you dont want to follow the rules of air travel, dont fly. Do I like to be held up at the airport with the security checks? No, but I dont complain about it. I had to be scanned by a hand scanner once (my belt buckle set off the alarm) but I didnt feel it was the same as being strip searched. Why is it that Muslims get to go by their own rules? I hope the police decide to tell them to shove it and if they dont like the security measures set in place, then dont fly.
