Computer beats human experts at poker
Computer beats human experts at poker
Human pride took a hit 11 years ago when IBM's Big Blue computer beat world chess champion Gary Kasparov. Now it's poker players' turn to be humiliated by a machine. picked by deEPCHIll 1 year ago

am I misunderstanding poker? It seems to me that this is hardly that impressive. Take away the human, non random aspects and you are left with a game of mostly chance.

The computer will gave the perfect poker face. There will be no "tells", no body language to be read. You also can't psych out the computer whereas the computer may be psych out the player.

Since there is no way to determine if the computer is bluffing, I imagine the best "strategy" is to ignore the computers playing/betting style and just play stastically making the winner solely the luck of the draw

Dear 2many:

You wrote what I was going to write. I am going to call you on this act of pre-plagiarism. Too many times have I ignored this injustice of stealing my ideas before I got to read the article.

Sincerely yours,

Tragluk.
