It does not actually explain why.
There is an experiment, there are several possible conclusions. The paper mentions only one (see title). Experiment is not analyzed. Choice of participants is not analyzed.
It does not say how biased the experiments were.
It does not say what the alternative hypothesises were.
It is silent about the confidence level the experiments support their conclusion.
Looks like BS, but it could be true. There is no way to tell without further research.

i really enjoyed reading this article. i agree that men and women think about relationships differently. There wouldn't be so many misunderstandings if they didn't.
