The Future of Babies: Artificial Wombs and Pregnant Grandmas
The Future of Babies: Artificial Wombs and Pregnant Grandmas
Artificial wombs and experiments on human embryos grown in the lab will be commonplace and no big deal ethically in 30 years, several scientists predict. They envision a scenario just like test-tube babies, which shocked us 30 years ago but now are fairly routine and acceptable to most people. picked by deEPCHIll 1 year ago

Like we don't have too many people now.

Interesting article.

I agree with it to a point, but I think it might be a tad optimistic. Earth is getting really full, though, so I'm not entirely sure if so much science will be dedicated to further this human epidemic. I personally would rather see science and time and energy spent on changing archaic and backwards ideas regarding a woman's standing in society with respect to her ability to spawn instead of making IVF available for $100.

So many infertile people spend so much money on making babies now, though, and it makes me entirely believe the ideas regarding artificial wombs and the rest. If you're going to spend so much money on a baby, why not make sure you're getting a good one, I guess.
