A Natural Selection
Although we tend to think of evolutionary change as being something that only takes place over the course of millions of years, it isn’t. It’s going on here, now, all around us. So, this artcle rounds up some examples of recent evolutionary change in nature. (What does she mean by recent? Within the last 40 years.)

Wow, I'd hate to be the guy who has to measure the wings of a fruit fly. Interesting article.

I measured fruit flies! (but not particularly their wings..)

Funny thing is that these guys pop out of their stinky cocoons bigger when the temperature is colder.
This all took me back to the good old days of...fruit fly measuring! (kinda draws a picture of where I'm at today, eh?)

If you ever get the chance, take an introductory entomology course. Many species of flies are keyed out using wing size and shape of the "cells" (the clear portions between the ribbing).

Part of my graduate thesis involved dissecting Honey bee brains and comparing neural and synaptic structure after learning events.

Advice....don't drink too much coffee on those days. :)
