The officers put themselves in harm's way. They were shot at and shot and deserved to be recognized...

Get the f**k out of here... They put an innocent family in harms way, were shot at for entering a private residence, and returned fire but MISSED(thank god)... Their only awards should have been not getting killed and not killing anyone else.

Besides that:

I'm a retail supplier.
I get an order from Party City for 1000 Napkins.
I send 500 paper plates to Walmart instead.
I am now employee of the month.

Rewarding mistakes is not the correct reaction to a failure of good intellegence and information.

I don't think the swat team picked which home to invade did they? They went where they were told to and handled themselves under fire quite well.

the fact that it was the wrong house is immaterial if they simply went to the house they were told to go to.

Of course awarding them for doing their job is crazy. Awarding them while the family is suing is just plain stupid.
