actually, i'd have given the number 1 spot to blow. #2 would've been half baked.

I would've put fear and loathing at the top of the list, replaced scarface with Up in Smoke, and replaced Pulp Fiction(because pulp fiction isn't a drug movie really.) with Easy Rider (which has nearly nonstop marijuana smoking and an acid trip)

I have 5 out of 10, and thats because i never think to buy Trainspotting(its on movies channels constantly).

Scarface and Blow are definitely a coke fiend's movies... So much so, it has been said that while watching, you can almost taste the drip.

Fear and Loathing is, above all, the best drug movie ever. The cinematography in itself is an acid trip. Try watching it with a sheet of wax paper on your tv screen: Oooo the colors.

Trainspotting has the ultimate heroin OD scene that can make an eager and experimental person simultaniously want to and never want to do heroin. Thankfully, the latter sticks.

Pulp, is not really in its element on this list. I think Natural Born Killers could have been included just as much.

Spun is a great Meth movie. There is a very authentic quality to the sped up and slowwed down parts that give you a perspective of being on the drug... The only thing that would have made the experience more authentic is if the box said it was 101 minutes long, but it only takes 6 minutes to watch.

Cheech and Chong movies could fill a list of 10 so skipping those I would add:
A Scanner Darkly- seriously messed up drug movie that makes you feel like your tripping on top of the Narc'y storyline.

The closest I have ever came to doing drugs was watching this for a really really long time.

You druggies go ahead and enjoy it, though.

I use to be a bit of an addict. It took my friend ODing on a speed ball in a pool of his own vomit to get me to stop, but at least I stopped.

That being said, I love(d) Requiem for a Dream (still have the soundtrack), Trainspotting, and Blow.

I would have added Party Monster to the list, though.

i thought of that one too. it was such a trippy movie and it was simultaneously fabulous and horrifying.

i also agree with eljay - i can't believe up in smoke didn't make the list.

Fear and Loathing should definitely be #1, and Pulp Fiction isn't a drug movie.

Requiem is one of those movies that you watch, think is awesome, and never want to see again.

I dunno.. I've watched it several times. Of course, I love the soundtrack so that's a plus.

Yeah the soundtrack is great, I've got it too. I saw a trailer the other day for something, I don't remember what it was but the trailer was at the beginning of xfiles, it used that main track from the soundtrack of Requiem. It's great, but it's just so intense and stressful, I just don't want to see it again. I've watched it more than once, but every time it makes me feel the same way. I'm the same way with Before the Devil Knows You're Dead, too intense, too stressful, but a brilliant film. Any movie that can make you feel like that is fantastic, but it's kind of ruined after the first time.

Holy Sh*t!!! I made it through 20 seconds before I had to stop. That's worse than anything I've done before and that's saying a lot. You shouldn't watch that too much it'll kill more braincells than smoking pound of green!!!

I know what you're talking about! I saw a preview for something that was using the main theme from Requiem. It wasn't on TV because we don't watch TV, so it must have been before a movie or online. I don't remember what it was for, but I do remember the music.

It's the trailer for Babylon A.D., I just saw it on television.
