Thank you for posting this! I first started learning Norwegian from my Norwegian born mother when I was about 11 or 12 years old. I find I can follow conversations pretty well, at least the jist of the discussion. As for reading....fuggedabbuddit.

I'm going to take more time to dissect this commentary and I'll report back.

Unfortunately , for me, everyone in Norway speaks English so I didn't get much of a chance to practice my speaking/listening skills while there last month.
/scurries off to put on my Pimsleur Norwegian language CDs.
