Youtube clips of the happening are being taken down at amazing speed citing copyright claims. There appears to be a video here but it requires MS Silverlight plugin (and is restricted to US viewers).

Caught it on the news last night. He definitely should be banned. That was a mean clip to the ref's face.

I think they were considering removing taekwondo from the next Summer Olympics. This certainly won't help keep it part of the games.

I caught some of the ping pong last night and the practically the same thing happened. It was a China player this time though. His ball bounced right at the outer corner of the table and even on the reply you couldn't tell whether it was in or not. The ref called it out and the dude flipped.

He got like a handful of ping pong balls and just started launching them at the ref.

It was an ugly sight.

As disgraceful as it was the ref's face still made me LOL. Yes, I've a sick sense of humour.

I see the fighter attacked the ref, but why did the coach get banned as well?

Well, that might be the best thing for him. I was talking about this yesterday at work, and some folks pointed out that this guy is from Cuba. If they determine that the ref was wrong, this guy could be seen a hero. However, if he is seen as disgracing the sport, and more importantly the country... he might find himself in a world of bad, if you know what I mean.

A really stupid thing to do.

Matos was winning 3-2, with 1:02 in the second round, when he fell to the mat after being hit by his opponent, Kazakhstan's Arman Chilmanov

"To me it was obvious he was unable to continue," Chilmanov said. "His toe on his left foot was broken."

If he was unable to continue then how'd he still kick the ref with his left foot?? The one with the broken toe? I think he was just proving he could still kick.. lol
