It does make sense, especially when a drop in general consumer is coupled with unbridled government spending.... a little scary, but a crash won't be as bad as the article predicts, in my opinion.

Although, I doubt the crash will happen. The housing market was really hot for a while, and a bit of cool down was to be expected. The rest of the stock market is still at record highs, and hasn't hasn't shown any sign of decline (knock on wood). But I suppose time will tell.
