Life in prison for stealing $2 and smoking a joint
Life in prison for stealing $2 and smoking a joint
A 17-year old african-american pleads guilty to aggravated robbery for stealing $2. He is given 10 years probation. A few weeks later after failing a drug test for marijuana, Judge Keith Dean gives him life in prison, where he still is today.

Dean gave a murderer who was rich and Caucasian the same 10 year suspended sentence. When the white man tested positive for cocaine he wasn't given life in prison and was even exempted from further drug tests. picked by 2manyusernames 3 years ago

Link does not work.

Even so, this judge clearly must be impeached. Or at least have a full investigation on the dealings of that judge.

Was working when I posted this, probably something temporary.

It's too late to impeach the judge, he is no longer in office, he lost the November election. Even this a** of a judge wrote a clemency letter adding his voice to those who are trying to free Mr. Brown.

That's just revolting. Isn't there any supervising organ in the US to appeal to in case of excessive rulings like this one?

It can be appealed all the way up to the Supreme Court. If it still stands at that level, there isn't much that can be done.

Actually, there is one thing that can be done. It's called a pardon, the Executive check against the Judiciary.
