 50 Things Everyone Should Know
50 Things Everyone Should Know
Self-reliance is a vital key to living a healthy, productive life. To be self-reliant one must master a basic set of skills, more or less making them a jack of all trades. Contrary to what you may have learned in school, a jack of all trades is far more equipped to deal with life than a specialized master of only one.

I searched for possible dupes... didn't find any... my bad if it is picked by Nateebiinature 1 year ago

Duh, you're 16, you know everything. :D No offense intended, it's just an old-parent joke.

It's a basic list, pretty simple, and they could have gone much further with some of these.

I hit about 48 of the 50. I don't know how to drive a stick as well as I should, not to say I don't know the basics, but I don't have enough practice to do it properly. So I kinda know 49.

There are alot more and some of these were even a bit too easy. Not just navigate with map and compass, you should be able to navigate with only a map. Or better yet, know how to get yourself found if you're lost, and how to find where you are in the woods and in a city. (hint, they both have to do with landmarks)

You shouldn't just know how to detect a lie, but how to tell a good lie. Remember, the best lies are often partial truths. Lieing of course is bad, but sometimes necessary.

Like I said, it's just a simple list and could have gone sooo much further with some of these.

I can do all of those things except drive a stick shift. I never had anything to learn on (my parents both drive automatic transmissions and so do I). It's really sad. When I was in high school I had a friend who had a stick shift car and I would have nightmares about being with her and her getting hurt and I couldn't drive her to help because I kept killing the engine every time I tried to shift. I finally asked her to teach me. She took me out on a dirt road and YELLED instructions at me as I was trying to drive. Number 51 on this list should be the ability to teach someone else something without raising your voice.
