Interesting! I think you could achieve something similar by mirroring one half of the face. Most people don't have very symetrical faces in terms of mouth shape, eye level etc. All you'd have to do is keep the mirrored side you like better.

The retouched faces seem to lose their character. Beauty is in the "eye" after all.

I only saw maybe two out of all of the images shown that I thought looked better with the "new" formula applied. Sure, they looked different, but not necessarily better.

seriously, the 'standards' used by this 'engine' are the very thing that the intellectual world has not only pegged as the sort of 'extreme effect' of the enlightenment that helped spawn nazism and scientific racism (which was, of course, energized by pre-existing racisms of the scientists), and what is more, 'standards' like these and the worldviews that create them have been soundly recognized as nothing more than arbitrary and baseless.
