Pictured: The Cave of Crystals discovered 1,000ft below a Mexican desert
Until you notice the orange-suited men clambering around, it's hard to grasp the extraordinary scale of this underground crystal forest.

Nearly 1,000ft below the Chihuahua Desert in Mexico, this cave was discovered by two brothers drilling in the Naica lead and silver mine. It is an eerie sight. picked by AutumnLotus 1 year ago

How beautiful, and how deadly.

Between the heat and the razor-sharp rocks, one would need to be very careful in there. But I'd take the chance, especially in an AC'd suit.

I've seen pics of that cave before, it's awesome. I'd love to go there and climb on those gypsum crystals.

Fun fact for today: gypsum is often put in instant beverages to make them froth a bit.

I was going to take it as a joke anyway. I've browsed this site for a long time now so I figure I might as well make an account. (Sorry about your joke though)
