For a "best" inventions for the entire year... this is a fairly unimpressive list. For instance, how does an email device that cannot access corporate email (or do ANYTHING else) make the cut?

I don't understand how something got 1,300 votes is ranked 4th vs. something that got 1,200 votes is ranked 1st...

"It does only email"

I'm glad it's not just me who thinks, "lame!"

The iPod touch should easily beat that, I think the iPhone should be top really, it is a great device. Plus it does way more than just email.

Just before I put my flame resistant suit on ;), I thought I would add, I'm not a hardcore Apple fan nor do I own an iPhone or iPod touch, just simply expressing my opinion. Although I know most people here wouldn't flame, you guys are pretty damn nice! :D

Nice? omg ur teh fail.

Not really, but I have to disagree. A device that doesn't have a keyboard doesn't really compete with one that does when it comes to email. You may be able to do more, but you also spend more. Although iphone is nice, it's not an email device at all.

I still think it's more technologically advanced and overall a better invention than the email device. I'm not saying it's better at email, just better overall.
