Interestingly, Palin set this second probe up HERSELF! Aren't we AMAZED that they would find in her favor? *eyeroll*

There are lots of things that ARE technically legal, but morally reprehensible to some people.

Her ethics remain in question, as well as her intelligence regarding the appearance of impropriety; Clinton was impeached over MUCH less.

It may very well be 'legal' in Alaska to use your political position to hurt others, but it certainly doesn't smell very Xtian!

lying to a grand jury while under oath is several orders of magnitude worse than the minor thing she did. She did nothing that every single politician - heck almost every single person with any sort of power of any kind hasn't done and will do again.

There are legitimate things about her to attack her on, this little thing isn't.

Unfortunately, the previous investigation had nothing to do with the law and was set up separately from the legal investigation.

Even the previous investigation said she was perfectly within her rights and governor to fire Monegan.

She did *NOT* set this up herself, it was the investigation that was supposed to have occurred and she reiterated her support for this investigation, because it was the *legal* investigation into the ethics grievance claim.

Her ethics remain in question,
Why? Because she fired a guy? Bulls**t.

as well as her intelligence regarding the appearance of impropriety;
Intelligence? Because she fired a guy? Wow, we're grasping at straws here. Is she unable to do her job because a former family member works for the state?

Clinton was impeached over MUCH less.
You mean, perjury? Lying under oath? Yeah....that's a LOT less [/sarcasm]

The guy wasn't doing his job as she had asked. So she fired him. What's the big deal?

If I'm not mistaken, the ethics violation in question wasn't for firing the "guy" as you put it... it was for leaning on him to fire her ex brother-in-law. If you recall (that is, if you pay attention to anything that isn't your own dogmatic view) She was cleared of any LEGAL wrongdoing by the original, bi-partisan panel (which, btw, she was perfectly happy with investigating until she got the nomination for VP, but now suddenly it was ILLEGAL) But she was admonished for heavy handed tactics and abuse of her power. Nothin Illegal, but immoral none-the-less...

Ok, that is true. However, the ethics violation in question would not have been in existence if he was not fired. Monegan himself actually said she had not pressured him ever, that it was other members of the cabinet.

If you recall (that is, if you pay attention to anything that isn't your own dogmatic view)
I attack both sides of the aisle, thankyouverymuch.

She was cleared of any LEGAL wrongdoing by the original, bi-partisan panel (which, btw, she was perfectly happy with investigating until she got the nomination for VP, but now suddenly it was ILLEGAL)
Actually, she was never for the original investigation. She was always up for *an* investigation, just not the bi-partisan panel. After she got the VP nod, the investigation was inundated by Obama support and no longer truly bipartisan. I know that she was technically cleared of any legal wrongdoing, but the guy misinterpreted the law, claiming she had violated ethics standards. The real, true investigation found she had not.

But she was admonished for heavy handed tactics and abuse of her power. Nothin Illegal, but immoral none-the-less...
True, I admit there was definitely some indiscretion on her part, mostly from Todd.
