Well, someone thinks she's beautiful. That makes me happy. There's someone for everyone.

I expected more from Plime.

Dude, just before I got to your comment I was about to say the same thing.

I f**kING hate this kind of, "Lets rip the piss out of someone to make ourselves feel better with ourselves" kind of mentality.

Would anyone be taking the piss if this was one of the "beautiful people"?! I doubt it. Plus, I don't actually see what's that f**king funny about her.

Way to go pointing this out dude. Kudos.

I wonder how you'd have felt if someone posted this comment about one of your pics you've posted here, cos you can bet your bottom dollar someone thought it.

It's not high-school any more ya know.

I agree that I don't expect break.com material here at plime, but that thread did make me laugh, despite myself. Seeing her myspace made me feel better.

But I guess when you post a "sexy photoshoot," on an anonymous site, you're kind of asking for trouble.

Damn, the web can be cruel.

« Rowangrey : Sure, it's not polite to make fun of ugly people...
Who's to say what ugly is? You say this as though "ugly people" are a group that you're not in. It's all about perspective.

It's not that it's impolite to make fun of ugly people, it's a case of who are we to publicly judge people based on their looks and to deem certain people "ugly".

Much better reaction than I had. Someone I know posted some questionable photos of me on 4chan some time ago.

Man, that was some lj drama right there. We eventually got over it, but there was some srs businez for a while.

She made a really great observation on her Myspace page:

"So, if you would, please leave me the f**k alone already?? I mean, if you feel so compelled to keep leaving comments on how much you hate me, then by all means, go ahead. It's not my time you're wasting. I'm not the idiot here.

I'm not the victim either. You are. You're gifted with precious life and this is how you use it.

That is what makes me sad.

Go out and f**king do something with your LIFE already"

How true.

I agree that it's a bit extreme, or even completely rude to post all those comments about the guy's gf. I mean obviously he loves her, and that's good.

That said, the posts are really funny later on. I mean this photo alone cracked me up:

I found myself compelled to read through all 50 plus pages the other night.

Then I went to her Myspace and asked her to be my friend. I told her that I didn't care what anyone said about her, I thought she was very pretty.

She accepted my friend request immediately. SHe seems like such a sweet person. I was really impressed by her blog when she spoke about how she was handling all of this. I don't think I could have.

I didn't say anything that the majority of the people weren't already thinking... Those were NOT flattering camera angles and the lighting was horrible. Maybe that is why her face looked sort of disfigured, may be not... that's OK... I am sure if you look at her face from a different angle she is pretty. Or maybe she is like Uma Thurman, Uma has a pretty ugly-ness about her...

She does have a good looking body...

People already have said that about me anyways. I was and always will be the first person to laugh at myself... and say:

"Yeah! It's true, that was a fake smile..."

NOT the answer you were expecting, huh? I am DONE being bothered by you!

OC..

I don't think it matters if you fix her makeup or not... What the F**K is WRONG WITH HER FACE???
Sorry, I at least wasn't thinking, "What the f**k is wrong with her face".

I just think it takes a HUGE dollop of arrogance to criticise and mock someones physical appearance. (Unless done in a genuinely good-natured, friendly humoured way among friends)

And as for the, "I'm done being bothered by you" comment, if you don't want people to respond to comments you post, be it positive or negative, then it's probably best to not comment in the first place.

I know, unfortunately when you're on a public website you don't get to choose who responds to comments you make.

Yeah I don't really CARE about the whole ugly discussion, nor do I think it necessarily doesn't belong here. It is interesting social commentary considering it is like 60+ pages of piling on and picking on "the ugly girl". I suffer more from anti-narcissist bigotry than anything else. I see a popularly beautiful, put together, fit woman and think, "How can she have anytime to stay current with world news." I've been disabused of this a few times, but not many. Shallow people are ugly, and everyone jumping in with the ugly comments are shallow, and cowardly unless they are posting shots of themselves (not their girl friends) in bikinis in front of cars for everyone to judge. I fell in love and married a girl that I didn't consider popularly beautiful when I first laid eyes on her. I've heard people say nasty things about her, men and women, and people have said nasty things about me. Again, shallow people are ugly, and if they happen to be fit, and pretty, that is obviously all they have.

I honestly don't find this funny at all, not that other people shouldn't or whatever... I'm not trying to be preachy, but this genuinely does come across to me as disgustingly sexist and horrible. The fact that someone's photograph exists does not give everybody a licence to tear it to shreds. It makes me sad that that's what people's interest seems to be.
