Fugazi, you are aware that there's a plethora of racist sites on the interwebz right? There's a million and one comments on thousands of sites that are racist.

There's white pride, Aryan brotherhood,KKK, BNP sites. Just type racist jokes into google and it returns thousands of sites with horrible, hateful, racist "jokes".

We know they're out there but why post them on Plime?

Seriously, that forum is f**ked up like the many, many other racist sites out there. IMO, there's no need for it to be here on Plime.

The comments and people on that site are the lowest of the low and why the hell you point people in the direction of the, "The unaltered pic of the new first family" thread I do not know. The foul, retarded, unintelligent, hate-filled, brainless rubbish that's spouted there by the morons that masquerade as humans is something I could have done without seeing.

I deal with enough racist s**t in RL without reading the "thoughts" of these putrid, cesspools that I am forced to share a planet with.

The thought of this being on Plime as another means of people finding this site turns my stomach.

I found it funny. And I'm glad it was posted. Now, it's not the content I think is funny. It's the ignorance of the posters and their helpless clinging to their ways of thinking that I find humorous. I can pretty much guarantee you that I won't ever have to compete with one of them for a job, or a friend, or whatever.

The funniest part is that while they are going on about how bad black people are, they are probably typing on a Pentium I in a double wide running their tongue through that space where there used to be teeth.

The sad thing is that a lot of these "people" are probably your run of the mill, Average-Joe. There's a fireman on there, a soldier, a policeman and that's just from a quick scan through.

Sad and very telling about the ongoing racism in all parts of the world, not just America.

I'll draw a parallel to try and explain my point, someone posts a article discussing pedophilia, all well and good. The same person posts a link to a pedophile website featuring pictures of kids and frequented by pedophiles, not so good.

Not an exact parallel but it gives some idea of why it bothers me there been a link to a site that's run, frequented and supported by racists.

here's the thing.

we know that napalm is awful. we could describe the horrors of a nazi concentration camp.

but no matter how well-formed the image of these things is in your mind...seeing them is different.

watching as a frightened, naked little girl runs from her village, alone...or an image of emaciated bodies heaped upon one another contains millions more parts per billion truth than any description.


as for "where you stop once yous start posting links like this"...that isn't for me to decide, but i can say that there is a difference between malice and exhibition. further, while despicable, i don't think these people can be fully 'understood' or, better, conceptualized without such an exhibition. I spent a very long time on their site. Like everyone, regardless of their views, these folks have erected a structure and worldview in which ideas and events are connected and reified to support their conclusions.

Sure, simply writing them off as raving sociopaths is fine, and certainly not far from 100% accurate. But there is something to be said for following the rabbit hole. I love rabbit holes.

I don't feel you need to go to a forum run by racists for racists full or racist s**t to understand what racism and bigotry is.

It's not like there's some new found insight to be had from a myriad of clichd photo's and the, "You can take the n****r out of the jungle but never take the jungle out of the n****r" type, generic, used a million times for years and years by "The good old boys" comments.

It's the same s**t that racist bigots have come out with for years and years.

I don't need to see Obama photoshopped to look like a monkey or eating KFC to know all I need to about the racist mindset of these people, just the same as I don't need to see pictures of naked children being abused or go to a pedophile forum to "understand" what pedophiles do.

Racist's hate ethnic minorities, they feel they are in some way sub-human, they feel they shouldn't have the same rights as their Caucasian counterparts. Unless you've had your head under a rock or have self-imposed social blindness then you know what racism is.

I don't need to put my head in a tigers mouth to find out what a tiger really is.

I could understand if this was a link to a site that gave some rational, intelligent racist views (If their is such a thing) that could be dissected and discussed but it's not, it's just full of the same jungle-bunny, n****r this, n****r that, lynching, Jim Crow, watermelon clichd s**te that everyone is/should be familiar with and sick of.

I beg to differ, as a sheltered white girl living in the suburbs this really opened my eyes. I knew that some people might have said that a hundred years ago, but to hear people saying this seriously during my own lifetime.. Just Wow.

I know you are personally offended, and think there is no place for this sort of posting on plime, but I feel I have learned a little something about my fellow humans. I have grandparents who regularly say N****r, however I have never heard it said with any malice (if that makes sense)
