I don't know if the revenge part of the story is true but the way the store is run and how the employees are treated is typical of the "big box" stores. It never pays to get a job at places like that if you have a brain or a work ethic. I got the same kind of treatment when I worked at Home Depot. Orientation said, over and over, "help the customer! The customer is the most important part of your job"... But when I started working it was, "get your little counting job done as quickly as possible. Don't straighten the shelves, don't put things back where they belong, and never look a customer in the eye or they'll ask you for help!"

These places are managed by the same type of moronic, mindless drone that they like to hire for the worker-bee jobs. I got fired for helping the customers too much and not counting the lack of inventory that they refused to re-order.
