 Crying Men By Taylor Wood
Crying Men By Taylor Wood
The photographer asked the actors to produce real tears for a series of images which she hopes capture the vulnerable sides of the movie stars. She is particularly proud of pictures of the Cold Mountain hunk weeping in a fetal position and a portrait of Reservoir Dogs star Michael Madsen betraying his hard-man image by crying hysterically. picked by AutumnLotus 1 year ago

Not to belittle this any, but these are people who are paid to fake emotions. Now in some cases that faking may well be from drawing on a pool of real emotions, but I did feel a little that they were "selling it too me".

Also, still slightly cynically, it makes me wonder if it is intended as an instructional for emotionally detached men showing them how to cry.

I am sorry, would it have hurt her to name each actor in their state of distress?
Also, the emotion pictured is either forced therefore false, or exploitive.
Weird.

This is almost awesome. It misses the mark by being forced.
Still, seeing Daniel Craig all red-eyed and vulnerable makes me get all weak in the knees.

John Leguizamo.

I just think he is the hottest little thing. He looks hot even when he is faking a good cry.

I liked the idea of this but I think the point would have made it home better if they were pictures of unknown men. Not men we know are trained to cry on cue.

I don't know, I felt like I just wanted to wrap my arms around some of those guys, and just take away their tears....with my tongue....wait, did I say that last part outloud.

Maybe I should have became an actress. When I was a kid, I could have easily gotten an Oscar for my fake tears. I became very good at crying to get my brothers in trouble. I can still cry on cue..lol.

If they get that endorsed by Daniel Craig they'd have a book deal right there.

Whenever Robin Williams cries - it really chokes me up. He's such a clown, to swing over to sadness/despair, it always brings me with

I got into my first proper show by starting to cry. I've never found it hard in the least, and sometimes do it accidentally. I'll be being silly and pretending to be sad or dramatic and then will actually start crying.

It confuses my friends a lot. "Whoa...Dude are you actually...dude. You're totally crying."

Some do look a little forced. But you have to remember, even acting (good acting, that is..) has to come from somewhere inside.
