Here's the question:

If women are allowed to go topless, because "men are allowed," am I allowed to stare of them without it being sexual harassment?

I'm allowed to look at a man's chest, can I now abandon eye contact all together (shirt or no shirt), or is that still considered "rude?"

Personally... I think the best way to handle this would be to tell men to put a shirt ON! I don't want to see your big fat stomach, and hairy man boobs! I don't even like looking at mine!

Try that sometime, INB....see how long you can stare at some guys chest, even if he's fully clothed, before you get a rude comment.

I would even take this a step further. I wouldn't mind women just being completely naked... and being in my room.

Unfortunately, I've yet to see a woman taking advantage of the law.

Well, how would you feel if I stared at your chest or any other body part instead of making eye contact? Better yet, imagine you had giant moobs and I was staring at those in disbelief instead of making eye contact.

I'm sure you'd agree it was rude, but not harassment. That's probably where any woman brave enough to go out in public topless would feel, too.

However, the instant someone of either gender goes to touch... then it could be harassment. I don't think anyone would consider oggling harassment, it's just stupid and rude.

I'd love to go topless all of the time, but my boyfried would definitely not like it. He doesn't even think it's a good idea for me to tan topless in his own backyard, silly boy!

It's legal here, but I probably wouldn't just because I wouldn't want to attract a hoarde of pervy guys, or worse, their jealous women who'd give me grief...

When I'm alone, or with people I trust, the top comes off. They're just boobs, and in North America, I'd say 75% of the population has them ....

I was thinking about this just yesterday.

When Zach and I lived in the country, I was topless frequently. I'm even topless in a bunch of my Myspace pictures (no boobs showing, as per Myspace policy). I would love for it to be socially acceptable for women to go topless in public. It feels SO GOOD!!! Besides, boobs aren't a sexual organ; they have no reproductive qualities. Boobs are here to feed small children. ....I'm totally going to breastfeed in public. People need to quit being ashamed of their natural bodily functions and be comfortable with their nature.

Breastfeeding is a reproductive quality.

Boobs are there in reproduction to feed the young.

On another note, where I work, sometimes when I interface with males, I find they give me the "once over". I couldn't imagine if I was topless what they would do.

Maybe I should just start staring at their crotches.
