Economic problems or not...the Universe is still a happy place!

Why couldn't this happen in the U.S.? I really wanna see it!

it is...i can see it in the SW sky...the stars anyway, a couple of days ago...hoping to catch the moon tonight.

thing is, it has been cloudy lately...totally. The only day I had a good shot of the stars was more or less covered by chemtrails once it got totally dark.

I so want to see this. Probably should watch from my car...

I think it's funny that you have a subie (subaru) as your car.

I think you should be able too - just the other way around.

It was visible here when I was coming home this evening. The only thing is that the "eyes" are on the other side of the moon, making it look like a sad face.

And one of the "eyes" has wandered off a little bit making it look a little bit like the music of the celestial spheres is Dualing Banjos.

Which admittedly isn't quite as much to write home about.

Probably best to put the face thing out of your mind...

I get a lot of attention with the custom license plate.

That's what I see but it still made me smile.

I have a telescope so knowing where Venus and Jupiter are quickly is exciting. I've seen Jupiter, Saturn, Mars, Venus, and the Moon on my telescope before.

I'll probably take it out tomorrow because I don't have much to do, and today is pretty cloudy.

I can see it, the sad face. It's beautiful.

Sad, but beautiful. Its the only things I can see tonight, even though, out here, I can see a lot of the stars.

aaahaha! it's making a sad face over boise. i ran home to get my dslr to take a photo, but some heavy fog just rolled in. i'm hoping i can get a picture tomorrow night. :)

I've been watching Venus and Jupiter for several weeks now, now with the crescent moon in the picture, it's just absolutely beautiful.
